Join the Team!

The following opportunities for ministry are available through the church:

A CAPELLA ENSEMBLE: Sing with a group of like-minded vocalists as an enhancement to our morning services of worship.

ALTAR WORKER/COUNSELOR: Counsel and pray with persons who come to the altar seeking spiritual assistance.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH TEAM: Help to lead Children’s Church one Sunday each month.

CHURCH BOARD: An elected position. Help to govern the affairs of the church and set the course for the future.

COMMUNION PREPARATION TEAM: Assist as scheduled with preparation of communion on the first Sunday of the month, assist with cleanup of communion ware after service.

COUNTING TEAM: Rotate from Sunday to Sunday to assist our church treasurer with counting the Sunday offerings during the AM service or after the PM service.

DECORATING TEAM: Assist with decorating of the sanctuary and other parts of the building for special occasions and events.

GREETERS TEAM: Greet guests as they enter the church, give them a bulletin and welcome literature, have them sign the guest book.

HOSPITALITY TEAM: Focus on guests in the sanctuary, make sure they are welcomed and made to feel at home, introduce them to the pastor and others, followup by phone during the week.

KITCHEN TEAM: Assist with church potlucks and other meal-related events, see that meals are prepared for those needing assistance at home, for funerals, etc.

MAINTENANCE TEAM: Assist with the care of the church building and grounds, doing various maintenance projects as needed.

MISSIONARY COUNCIL: Assist the NMI President with the various duties of the missionary program.

OUTREACH TEAM: Visit church guests during the week, taking them gifts from the church and inviting them to return on the following Sunday.

PASTORAL PRAYER SUPPORT: Agree to pray for the pastor on a specific day each week.

PRAYER CHAIN: Receive and pray for prayer requests communicated by telephone in times of special need.

SCRIPTURE READING TEAM: Assist with worship by reading an assigned Scripture passage on Sunday mornings.

SOUND TEAM: Assist on a rotating basis with running the sound system for Sunday services or special occasions.

SPECIAL MUSIC TEAM: Participate in worship by providing solos, singing in a duet or trio, or otherwise helping to enhance worship through music.

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEAM: Teach a Sunday School class or assist in the Sunday School as needed.

TELEPHONE FOLLOWUP TEAM: Telephone guests, inviting them to return, and followup on those absent from worship.

USHERING TEAM: Assist with taking the offering for Sunday morning services or special occasions as scheduled by a Head Usher.

WORSHIP SUPPORT TEAM: Play the piano, assist the worship leader on worship teams, play an instrument during the service.
